Oilmist Extraction Plant and Ventilation technology from Schuh Anlagentechnik in successful operation at Aperam in Genk for 12 months

As part of the expansion of the processing capacities for stainless steel strips of grades AISI 300 and 400, Aperam decided on the 4-column design of the 20-roll cold rolling mill from ANDRITZ with air technology from Schuh Anlagentechnik. The entire system was successfully implemented and has now been in live operation for 12 months.

The scope of supply from Schuh Anlagentechnik included the design and delivery of key components for the oil mist extraction for an air rate of 140,000 m3/h including the clean and dirty oil tank, the cellar ventilation and, in a separate section, the ventilation for the transformer house and the switch cabinets.

After the order was placed in January 2020, the Schuh team was able to ensure delivery from mid-2020 despite of the disruptive influences caused by Corona. After successful assembly by the end customer and completion of the commissioning work together with the Schuh Team, the entire work was handed over to the end customer in November 2021.
